The Homeschool Mother’s Journal

The Homeschool Mother's Journal

In my life this week…

I’m learning to coupon so I can save lots of money. There are lots of rules and great ways to really save big.

In our homeschool this week…

MJ had a great lesson on simple machines at homeschool group and JEM is making an astronomy lapbook. This will be her second lapbook.

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…

We went to Farmers Day as part of our towns Fall Foliage Festival this week. Farmers Day has several areas the children can learn about how people lived then. They had butter churning, crocheting, basket weaving, washing clothes, potato stamping, candle making, old toys and games, an old one room school house, and lots of animals to pet and learn about.

The kids get to see friends, and do all the activities and mom gets to chat with other homeschool moms and the dads and moms that came with the school field trip groups.

My favorite thing this week was…

Fall Foliage Festival parade on Sunday. I got to sit and relax with friends while the kids sat on the curb watching and jumping up and down so they can be seen by the people throwing out candy.

Things I’m working on…

collecting coupons, blogging more.

I’m grateful for…

my very supporting husband and my wonderful 11 year old daughter who helps me with EVERYTHING. She cooks, not so much with cleaning, helps with MJ, anything else I need, and she enjoys doing all of it.

A photo, video, link, or quote to share…

My mind is on coupon-ing so here is a great link I wanted to share. The Krazy Coupon Lady
