Eating Healthy and Feeling Great by Ridding My Life of Dangerous Additives

I read an article by Vigilant Citizen titled “Dumbing-Down Society Part 3: How to Reverse its Effects” that changed our lives. After reading this article I was very upset and on a mission. I did not want my family poisoned any longer. I started looking through our cupboards and reading the labels on everything.

Eating truly healthy is quite a challenge.

I thought we ate a fairly healthy diet but that article pointed out several things we needed to change. I was determined at least to focus on the three main dangerous additives in our diet.

  1. Aspartame
  2. MSG Mono-sodium Glutamate
  3. High Fructose corn syrup

Aspartame was the worst and greatest discovery.

It was the cause of most if not all of my illnesses. There are 92 reactions/side affects from this additive and I had about 12 or more that came and went depending on how much I consumed.

Your probably wondering what the heck is aspartame.

This may surprise and disturb you, and you may want to deny it. Well it’s a sugar substitute; NutraSweet, Amino sweet, splenda, and in over 6000 products. Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, sugar free drink mixes, and pretty much anything sugar free, or diet. Oh it’s even in children’s vitamins!

I’m lucky because I only used one product that had it and that was Trident Chewing gum. I was chewing a lot of it though and the reason I was having the reactions. I didn’t even realize it was the cause. I just thought I was crazy and unhealthy. I was chewing piece after piece like a pack a day or two.

The reactions I was having:

  1. Anxiety attacks
  2. can’t think straight
  3. Fatigue
  4. Depression
  5. Diarrhea
  6. Dizziness-Thought I had ear aches
  7. Headaches/Migraines dizziness-had a mild one everyday, and every other day a migraine
  8. Irritability
  9. Joint Pains-think this symptom relates to my back pain in my spine
  10. Memory loss
  11. Menstrual Problems or Changes-always so painful and just thought it was normal (for me)
  12. Swallowing Pain-having sore throats a lot.

After reading the article I stopped chewing the gum. This was hard because it was such a habit especial when I was out and about. A few days later I didn’t have my headache I had everyday, then started noticing I wasn’t as tired, my anxiety started to lessen, I was feeling great.

Even the pain in my back went away. I thought this pain in the middle of my back that I had for ever was a result of having three epidurals and the last one the anesthesiologist had to do twice.

The pain was dull when I got up in the morning and would increase throughout the day. Always sensitive to touch, like leaning up against something it would hurt.  Now nothing completely gone and I didn’t see a doctor or do anything special.

The best part is no more anxiety.

I hated going to new places and meeting new people. I would try and come up with an excuse but I knew doing this was not good for my kids sake so I would just suffer through it and sweat to death, and try and ignore the feelings. Thought it was all in my head (well it was but, not my fault).

Now going out and talking with people is easy and I actually enjoy it. It’s a wonderful feeling.

Second best thing is my ability to think straight.

I felt a little ADD. I could not focus on stuff. I would get distracted, forget, couldn’t read. That sounds weird, but I would read and just get frustrated. I would be distracted and have to read the sentence again and reading was just not enjoyable. The amount I have read in the past few weeks is amazing.

My 4 year old was having problems too.

MJ my 4 year old was also chewing the gum when ever I had a piece. This was causing her problems too. She would sometimes complain of a headache and was always so irritable. The worst were the temper tantrums. I first thought they were just normal for her age but they were just so bad lasting 30min to an hour sometimes. She would go into this rage of hitting, biting, screaming it was horrible.

After ridding the gum and the other additives she is my little angel again. Of course she still has a fit every now and then but it is normal now. She can be talked out of and reasoned with. She is less irritable and just overall better.

Well this is turning into a book and I just wanted to wake everyone up by sharing my experience. I try to tell everyone because this is serious. If I can feel this much better by eliminating one crazy additive then I think everyone can.

ASPARTAME is very dangerous and yes the FDA does not have our best interest in mind.

Google it and see for yourself. I watched several YouTube videos about it too. There are a lot of people who suffered and are doing better now.
