Fall Foliage Festival was great as always. It was Oct. 7 – 10 and took place in downtown Martinsville, Indiana.
A little history from the Fall Foliage Festival website:
In June of 1960, then shoe merchant J. William Alexander proposed to the directors of the Martinsville Chamber of Commerce that an annual fall festival be started. His idea was to take advantage of the tourist traffic, as well as call attention to the beauty of the fall foliage in Morgan County.
There were many activities for everyone during fall foliage:
- Farmer’s Day
- Art Show
- Carnival
- Martinsville Memorabilia
- Parade
- Children’s Activities
- Pedal Tractor Pull
- Bubble gum spitting contest
- Pumpkin decorating contest
- Talent show
And this is only some of the activities.
The kids and I had a great time at Farmer’s Day.
The festival was fun and we always look forward to the parade. It was a beautiful day for it this year.
