Here is JEM checking in her Toy Story Lego model with the judge. She got a blue ribbon. Just before this she checked in her bicycle poster and got a blue ribbon and a star. She was so excited.
Well today starts the crazy week of 4-H project check in. At first it was a little stressful getting started on all the 4-H projects JEM has selected to complete this year, but once we got started things went smoothly. Better than years past.
This was a great picture of JEM. It can be hard to take a picture with a mascot because they move so fast trying to see all the kids coming from everywhere. Kids just love anyone dressed up in a huge headed whatever they maybe costume.
MJ my 3 year old wanted to follow them around all day. She had to say hi and give them a huge every time we saw them.

Almost time for the Morgan County Fair. Starts July 31st to August 7th. Several days before is the concern for those entering projects and other judging events for 4h, called pre-fair events that run July 14th to July 30th. Fair time can be quite crazy and very busy.
The summer is ending soon and I am hoping to start our homeschool year off on time or even early. I need to make up for last year. We had a crazy year of moving. Moved from our house in the beautiful woods to foreclosure and had to move to a rental for 3 months that didn’t work out. Then moved all the way to San Antonio, TX for a 7 month nightmare. To finally moving back to Indiana in April. Had to stay with friends for a month or so to get jobs and find a place to stay. Now we are in a permanent place, at least for a year since we had to get an apartment for now.
We’ve been so busy lately that we haven’t had time to post. I am now a WAHM (work at home mommy) and scheduling in time to work has had to be early in the morning when everyone is sleeping. I used to sleep too.
So lately I’ve been very tired. Hoping my body will get used to this 4am schedule change soon. I feel good about being able to help provide some extra income for my family though and it’s not that bad, so far.
My children, starting with my 16 year son (weird), wearing these unusual shaped colored bracelets.
On his arm they don’t look like anything until he took one off and showed me it was a giraffe, a star, a heart his girlfriend gave him (how sweet). Each day goes by and he gets more and of course now that I’m aware and clued into this fad I see them on everyone’s wrists. Some adults too.
JEM, MC, JM, DC and SB have started collecting them too.
